Q: What can I expect to learn in a Lawi training class?

A: Users will obtain practical knowledge along with best practices in the use of content and tools to conduct research with their service. Please view the training options link for more training session details.

Q: How can I sign up for a training session?

A: Please contact one of our Training & Content Support Specialists. In addition, you can submit a request to schedule a complimentary training session by completing the form found on many of Lawi’s reference products under the “Getting Started” section of the main page.

Q: What is needed for me to participate in a training course?

A: For web-based Lawi services you will need:

  • Access to a computer that will allow you to log on to a designated user site via the Internet.
  • Telephone line to join a teleconference.
  • Speakerphone or headset for audio.

Q: Is it OK to have colleagues in my office join in during my session?

A: All licensed users are welcome to participate.

Q: I missed my class; can I reschedule?

A: We are delighted to help. Please contact us to reschedule so we may fit you into a class at a time that will best meet your needs.

Q: How do I cancel my registration for a training class?

A: If possible, please contact us 24 hours in advance. Our training specialists can arrange this.

Q: I have not received my e-mail with access instructions for my distance learning session. What do I do?

A: Please contact Lawi Training & Content Support. A specialist will confirm your training date and time, verify your e-mail address, and forward you access instructions.

CPE Credit

Q: How do I get CPE credit?

A: CPE credit is available for training on the Lawi Tax Law Federal or State Library only. During the training, we will show you how to conduct effective and efficient research on the Library.

Q: When will I get my CPE credit?

A: You will receive a CPE certificate recognizing your class participation approximately 4-6 weeks after the course.

Q: Is it OK to have colleagues in my office join in during my session? Will we all receive CPE credit?

A: You can have licensed users at your firm join the session. All learners involved must register in advance for the class and return an evaluation form to receive CPE credit.
