CiteReference, a free Utility

CiteReference may be useful to find primary and secondary sources on a particular narrow topic. Remember that the Encyclopedia of Law organizes cases by jurisdiction.

CiteReference allows users to view entries in the Portals of the Encyclopedia of Law that have influence on the topic or subject matter being analyzed. It helps in the legal research and in document drafting and updating.

With CiteReference, users can:

  • cross-reference to entries that cite an entry being read
  • cross-reference to entries that cite an entry from browsing or search results
  • cross-reference to articles that cite an applicable jurisdiction Supreme Court case (when available)
  • sort search results
  • cross-reference directly to entries in all the Portals of the Encyclopedia of Law that is cited within an entry.
